Selecting, moving and resizing
Selecting
- Click an object on the design area — or its row in the layers list — to select it.
- Shift-click to add another object to the selection.
- Click the empty design area to deselect.
When more than one object is selected, common properties show in the properties panel; unique properties show as "mixed".
Moving
- Drag with the mouse.
- Use the arrow keys to nudge one pixel at a time.
- Hold Shift + arrow to nudge ten pixels.
- Set X and Y directly in the properties panel for exact placement.
Resizing
- Drag the handles on the bounding box.
- Hold Shift while dragging a corner to keep the aspect ratio locked.
- Set width and height directly in the properties panel for exact sizes.
Locking
Lock a layer to prevent accidental drag or resize. Locked layers still render; they just refuse to be edited on the design area. Handy for backgrounds.
Z-order
Reorder via the layers list, or use Bring forward / Send back from the right-click menu. The renderer paints from bottom of the list up.
