Configuring a plugin

How an admin connects an external account so editors can use the plugin.

Configuring a plugin

You need admin or superadmin access.

Steps

  1. Open AdminPlugins in the main navigation.
  2. Pick the plugin to configure. Read the plugin's own page for what fields it needs.
  3. Enter the credentials (API key, account ID, OAuth refresh token — depends on the plugin).
  4. Save. A Test button verifies the credentials against the plugin's own API.

If the test fails, the connection is saved but the plugin is marked as broken. Editors cannot create a data source from a broken plugin; fix the credentials first.

Rotating credentials

Open the plugin page and replace the old values. A successful test re-enables it. Running data sources pick up the new credentials on their next refresh.

Disabling

A disabled plugin no longer refreshes existing sources and cannot back new ones. Disable when you are decommissioning an account; delete the sources first if you want a clean state.

Permissions in brief

  • Superadmin — enable/disable plugins globally.
  • Admin — configure credentials at org level.
  • Editor — pick a plugin as a data source type.
