Layers

A layer is one template + one dataset in the production. Layers stack in z-order.

Layers

A production contains an ordered list of layers. Each layer is the pairing of a template and (optionally) a dataset the template binds to. Layers stack on the output — layers further down the list render on top.

Adding a layer

From the production page, click Add layer. Pick a template. Pick a dataset that matches the template's schema (or leave empty for a template that does not bind to data).

Give the layer a name the operator will recognize ("Lower third — home scorer" instead of "Layer 2").

Reordering

Drag rows in the layer list. The top item renders at the back; the bottom item renders on top. Stacking matters when graphics overlap — a lower third should be above a background bug.

One layer, many rows

For list datasets, the control panel's row selector decides which row of the dataset the layer currently displays. You do not add one layer per row.

Removing a layer

Click remove on the layer row. If the layer is currently on air, take it off first — removing a live layer leaves the output in an inconsistent state until the next take.

Grouping

Set a group name to tie related layers together. Grouped layers can be taken together with a single action in the control panel.
