The control panel
The control panel is where an operator drives a production on air. It shows every layer of the production and the state of each.
Reading the panel
Each row in the panel is one layer of the production. For a layer you see:
- Its name and a thumbnail of the template.
- The dataset it is bound to.
- The current row (for list datasets) and a row selector.
- Take / Out / Pause / Continue buttons.
- The live status — hidden, animating in, live, paused, animating out.
Keyboard flow
Many operators prefer the keyboard:
- Enter / Return on a layer — Take.
- Backspace / Esc — Out.
- P — Pause/Continue.
- ↑ / ↓ — move between layers.
- ← / → — previous / next row on the active layer.
Keyboard shortcuts are enabled while the panel has focus. Click the panel first to make sure.
The output preview
A small preview on the right mirrors what is currently on air. It is not frame-accurate — treat it as confirmation, not as the broadcast feed. The real output is the URL the broadcast tool captures.
Connection indicator
A dot next to the title shows the WebSocket connection state. Green = live; yellow = reconnecting; red = disconnected. If it goes red during a show, reload the page — the output keeps rendering the last state until a new command arrives.
