Organizations & Teams

Organizations and teams

An organization is the tenant that owns users, projects and data. Users can belong to more than one.

Organizations and teams

An organization is the tenant boundary in BroadcastGraphics. All projects, templates, datasets and users belong to exactly one organization — except superadmins, who are global.

What an organization owns

  • Its users and their roles (admin, editor, operator).
  • Its projects and everything inside them.
  • Its uploaded assets (images, logos).
  • Its plugin configuration (API keys, credentials).

Cross-organization access

  • A single user can belong to several organizations, with a different role in each.
  • Data never crosses an organization boundary. An editor in "Channel A" cannot see anything in "Channel B" even if the same person is an admin in B.
  • Only a superadmin can see and move data across organizations.

Who creates organizations?

Only a superadmin can create a new organization. When they do, they also create the organization's first admin user. That admin then adds the rest of the team.
